Our Take
Comparing TrimRx vs Remedy Meds
glp compared team
Editorial team of researchers on GLP-1 providers
Two really popular and widely advertised compounded GLP-1 medication providers are Trim RX and Remedy Meds. Both offer compounded GLP-1 medications for reasonable prices, but there are definitely some differences we found that you should be aware of if you’re deciding between these two popular providers.
Our team has been researching and reporting on the GLP industry for years now, and we love helping our readers cut through the noise and align with the provider that will best serve their needs. We took the time to review both Remedy Meds and Trim RX, going all the way through their intake processes, so we can give you a detailed picture and an honest opinion on both.
The Biggest Differences
Right off the bat, the most glaringly obvious difference for us was the website presentation when comparing Trim RX and Remedy Meds. Trim RX gives a very basic vibe. While the simple and clean presentation is nice, it’s also filled with AI-generated images and videos (which, we know, is standard these days), but it didn’t give us a warm, fuzzy, authentic feel.
Remedy Meds also has a lot of AI images, but what they do really well is fill their website with a ton of useful information that makes it really easy to scroll through and gather the data one would need to feel confident moving forward with the intake process. If we had to label it, we would say that Remedy Meds gives more of a professional and legitimate presentation than Trim RX. This isn’t a complete red flag to us, but we thought it was noteworthy.
The next biggest difference between Remedy Meds and Trim RX is the cost. On a month-to-month basis, both providers charge about the same price for compounded semaglutide and tirzepatide, but with some nuances. Trim RX is the provider that offers more flexibility when it comes to pricing models. You can opt for a one-month, 6-month, or 12-month plan, which all offer discounts for the longer subscription period. Trim RX also has a promo for $120 off your first shipment, which is a nice way to get started at a reduced cost. We didn’t find any discounts linked to Remedy Meds.
Another important distinction between these two providers is that Remedy Meds is now offering compounded microdosed GLPs, and Trim RX is not. More and more people are seeking microdosed medications, and Remedy Meds is not only offering that, but doing so at a very competitive monthly price. Trim RX falls short here.
Finally, Remedy Meds has a thriving online member community where patients can join, interact, and engage with other users. It’s a place to ask questions and share your journey with others who are in a similar situation. We didn’t find a specific community for Trim RX, which isn’t a big deal for some people, but those who like connection might be disappointed.
The Similarities
In general, you can expect the process of obtaining a GLP-1 medication from either Remedy Meds or Trim Rx to be pretty similar. You begin the process of determining eligibility by answering some basic health and lifestyle questions. Both providers lead you through the intake process with ease and will ultimately give you a preliminary yes or no as to whether or not you qualify.
With Trim RX, you will get the option at the end to choose from compounded semaglutide or compounded tirzepatide, and for what term (1, 6, or 12 months). All pricing is laid out for you, and you have the option to select the plan and medication that you would prefer.
For Remedy Meds, the quiz will actually recommend a product for you. Specifically, it will recommend either regular or microdosed medication, and you will then have the option to choose between compounded semaglutide and compounded tirzepatide.
After selecting which option you’d like from either brand, you are directed to the checkout page, where you will enter your credit card information and shipping address. Both companies state that you will not be charged for medication until your prescription has been fully reviewed and approved by a licensed provider, so while it can feel a bit unnerving to enter your credit card information, it’s nice to know that you won’t incur any fees until officially approved for treatment.
Both providers serve patients in all 50 U.S. states, use licensed compounding pharmacies and licensed doctors, so there’s really no difference in any of those regards.
The Biggest Variables and Our Recommendations
Even if we had personally gone through with orders for both Trim Rx and Remedy Meds, there would still be a few variables that we wouldn’t be able to account for. Things like customer service, response time, and which compounding pharmacies they use are different for every patient. Unfortunately, those are some of the most sought-after reviews and experiences we want to hear about when considering which provider to choose, but it’s difficult to summarize unique experiences and tell you exactly what you could expect.
While we cannot specifically report back on these variables, we can give you our honest opinion on which provider might be the better choice. Overall, we feel like Remedy Meds is the more reputable provider, especially considering that they’re at the top of Forbes’ Health’s best GLP-1 providers list and they have written over a million prescriptions at this point. We liked that they had microdosing as an option and properly recommended that for our patient avatar, who didn’t have much weight to lose.
When it comes to Trim RX, while it didn’t give us warm and fuzzy vibes, it did have a lower-priced offer for the first month, as well as offer longer-term plans that save more money over time. Aside from a couple of small red flags in their marketing and presentation, we didn’t really see any reason to avoid this provider.
If we were making the decision between Remedy Meds and Trim RX, our decision would come down to this:
- If we wanted/needed microdosed GLP-1, we would go with Remedy Meds.
- If we wanted the provider that felt the most trustworthy, we would go with Remedy Meds.
- If we were looking for the lowest price point, we would go with Trim RX.
- If we thought we would need to be on the medication for an extended period and wanted to save money, we would go with Trim RX.
