Our Editorial Process
GLP Compared is built on the idea that shoppers deserve accurate, honest information. Here is exactly how we research, verify, and maintain the data on this site, and what our commercial relationships mean and do not mean for editorial independence.
How we research providers
Direct provider research
We research each provider by reviewing their public website, pricing pages, and any available plan documentation. Where possible, we go through the intake or checkout flow to verify how pricing is actually presented to prospective patients.
Structured data entry
Information is entered into our structured database, which powers all provider cards, profile pages, and comparison tools. Each provider gets a consistent set of fields: pricing plans, medications offered, care model features, state coverage, partner pharmacies, and editorial context.
Pricing verification
We record monthly-equivalent pricing for each plan to make side-by-side comparison fair. Where a provider offers bundled or multi-month pricing, we calculate and display the monthly equivalent. We note when medication is not included in the program fee.
Regular review and updates
Provider pricing and plan offerings change frequently. We review providers on an ongoing basis and update data when changes are detected. Each provider profile shows the date data was last verified. When in doubt, always confirm with the provider directly.
Editorial takes
Our "Our Take" summaries are written independently, based on publicly available information and our own research. They reflect our honest read of who a provider is best suited for and where they fall short. These are not written by or reviewed by the provider.
Affiliate and sponsorship policies
We are transparent about how we make money and what that does and does not mean.
Affiliate commissions
GLP Compared earns affiliate commissions when users click through to providers and make a purchase. Commissions are a standard rate set by the provider's affiliate program. A provider being in our affiliate program does not affect how we represent their pricing, care model, or editorial summary. Providers we do not have affiliate relationships with are represented the same way.
Sponsored placements
We accept paid sponsorships from select providers. Sponsored placements are always clearly labeled "SPONSORED" and are visually distinct from organic results. Sponsorship pays for visibility only, such as a pinned position in the provider directory. It does not purchase favorable editorial coverage, higher ratings, omission of limitations, or any change to how a provider is described in comparisons or profile pages.
What sponsorship does not buy
A sponsored provider does not receive inflated pricing accuracy claims, softened editorial takes, removal of "Not Ideal For" disclosures, or preferential treatment in head-to-head comparison pages. If a sponsored provider raises prices or reduces plan quality, our data and editorial coverage reflects that.
Corrections and updates
Providers may contact us to flag inaccuracies in their data. We review all such requests and update information if we can verify the correction. Providers may not request changes to editorial copy, ratings, or comparison framing. If you spot an error, email hello@glpcompared.com.
